Support our Season Apprentice's brand new work! Alongside its professional productions, Pacific Theatre is committed to the development of emerging artists, fostering new work, creating an artistic home for established practitioners, and engaging the community at large. PT’s apprenticeship program is a major component of our mandate to develop emerging artists and foster new work. Every season the theatre brings in a handful of up-and-coming theatre artists who are given training and opportunities to develop as professional artists.

This year, help support 7x12", written and directed by Heids MacDonald. The story follows a nurse who - while working in a women's prison - is assigned to care for an inmate who is dying of cancer. The play follows their unfolding relationship as the inmate approaches the end of her life. This one-act drama walks a tight rope of reality and metaphor, past and present as the two characters wrestle with questions of belonging and the meaning of grace.
